I would like to think that God in a way is an artist. The beauty of life is taken in by us as humans, and the joy we experience as we go through it pushes us to express it again in some way. I think the best of art attempts to convey the joy of life to others in hopes that they could have an idea of it as well. Here are some of my favorite artists.

Absolute master of retelling stories and expressing on massive grand scales. The fact some sequences of paintings tell stories together is crazy.
Endlessly intriguing etches of lots of cool things. His illustrations of many famous works allows you to experience them all over again in a new light, and his work is just a pleasure to look at.
